Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page

To correctly initialize the Flash system, please follow the steps below:

1.Install the SAMLight software and hardware as described in the SAMLight manual.

2.Adjust the settings and job according to your needs.

3.The settings can be bound to the specific card ID via 'Check Dongle ID in USC Server' in the General Hardware settings, ensuring that only the correct settings file is used.

4.Save the job (*.sjf file) and press the buttons 'Save Settings Now' and 'Save Pens Now' in the Settings - General tab to make sure all settings are saved.

5.Go to the Hardware Settings (via Settings - System - Optic - Advanced) and press the 'Store' button to save the current settings on the card.

6.Upload your job on the card by using the Extras -> Flash dialog

7.Create a backup of the current state via SAMLight - Help - 'Generate Backup.zip'. This file should be renamed so its connection to the card is recognizable. A manual backup should include the following files:

a.The *.sjf file of the created jobs.

b.A copy of the SAMLight settings that where just used, located in <SCAPS>\system folder. (The default name is sc_light_settings.sam.)

c.The version of the SAMLight installation (versiontag.txt)

d.The currently used firmware of the card. (Can be found in the usc_server_log.txt)

e.The serial number and system ID of the corresponding card.

f.(Optional: If Motion Type 14 is used, the files sc_motion_settings.txt and sc_motion_stepper_settings.txt should also be included)

Afterwards you can disconnect the card from the PC, re-power the card and mark your job using Flash.
