Test all

note

For this test, the jumpers JP1 and JP2 have to be set on DB-37.Â

The XY2-100 test is not included!

warning

The laser has to be safe while testing the laser signals!

First of all the opto-insulated, Digi and Stepper inputs will be read in. Therefore all opto-insulated outputs are set to 0 and the opto-insulated inputs will be read. The acquired value should be 0. If this test fails, a message box will show a list of the deficient I/Os. In this case, please check the relevant indicators.

Second, the Opto I/Os , RS-232 and (in case USC-2 is connected) Digi I/Os and Step I/Os will be tested. Therefore the opto-insulated outputs will be connected to the opto-insulated inputs and the RXD conductor will be connected to the TXD conductor. Then the opto-insulated outputs will be set successively and all opto-insulated inputs will be read. At the RS-232 port a test string will be sent and read back. If one of these tests fails, a message box will show a list of the deficient signals. In this case, please check JP1 and JP2 von DB-37. The test will be stopped, if this occurs.

During the last part of the test routine the analog outputs, the LaserPort and the Laser signals will be tested.

Analog Out A: The analog level will be switched from 0 Volts to the selected level in 255 steps. The LED indicators A1..A12 will glow successively.

Analog Out B: The analog level will be switched from the selected level to 0 Volts in 255 steps. The LED indicators B12..B1 will step out successively.

The LaserPort will be tested like described in chapter "8Bit".

The Laser signals will be tested like described in chapter "Laser".
