Flash Control Interface

There are four different ways to communicate with the USC-3 card via the Flash Control Interface. The Flash license is required.

For regular flash usage the USC-3 card must be in Stand-Alone mode, no PC connected:

oRS-232

CH_0 37-pin X2 connector

USC-2:

The default baud rate is 9600.

"<SCAPS>\system\sc_usc_server.exe /v" -> Flash -> Configuration -> TELNET must be disabled

USC-3:

The default baud rate is 115200.

TELNET always on.

Telnet

Ethernet RJ45 connector

USC-2: "<SCAPS>\system\sc_usc_server.exe /v" -> Flash -> Configuration -> TELNET must be enabled

USC-3: TELNET always on.

For system setup and testing the USC-3 card must be connected to the PC via USB or Ethernet:

oVisible server

"<SCAPS>\system\sc_usc_server.exe /v" -> Flash -> PCMode

oSAMLight

SAMLight -> Extras -> Flash-> Control -> Command

note

For stable operation you need to wait for the response of the USC-Card before issuing further commands. The response starts with "0: " when the command was successful. Otherwise please refer to the error codes.
