Before starting SAMLight with a USC-3 card, the correct settings need to be selected in sc_setup.exe.

The USC-3 can be selected as device in the drop down menu.

After selection of the USC-3, all hardware settings configured for a USC-2 card can be imported to the USC-3 card by clicking on the button "<- Import USC-2".

Several settings are available in sc_setup - Hardware Settings - Settings. They are loaded to the card with the store button.
Settings are also available in SAMLight - system - settings. They also are stored to the card with the store button in SAMLight - system - settings - optic - advanced.

However, not all settings can be done in both ways. The settings of the stepper GUI, of global serial numbers, of the shift maps and of a working shift for example are only available in SAMLight and will only be stored with the store button in SAMLight.
