The external trigger takes place with the rising edge of the signal on OptoIn0. The pulse can be very short (about 50 us). The time between two pulses must be minimum 3 ms.

The external trigger will be ignored during marking.

When using MOTFOffset and WaitForTrigger, the external trigger signal must be low before the internal trigger takes place. Otherwise, the internal trigger can't be recognized.
