Dynamic Flash Jobs
Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page

A dynamic flash job is a job containing up to 64 dynamic entities whose content can change with each mark.
The dynamic entity is always handled as a serial number which can appear as one of the following entities:

serial number

bar code (only available for some types of bar codes)

Date Time object

string (Inc. 0, custom format - Format or Text2D)

Combinations of these are also possible.

Maximum number of serial numbers which can be stored within one job on the flash is 64. In total, 255 jobs can be stored on the flash.

For the generation of the unf job one font code page is used. This code page non-specific and defined in Settings - Systems - Extras.
In addition, each dynamic entity can be assigned with its own font.

note

There is no dynamic hatcher on the USC-3 card. Thus, a hatch is prepared with all parameters in SAMLight and stored as vectors on the USC-3 card. This means, that the hatch cannot be changed dynamically on the card. When scaling a job on the flash (e.g. with the FCI command FC), the hatch of each entity is scaled accordingly and the original distance between hatch lines is no longer correct.
