Differences to other USC cards
Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page

If you are upgrading a system which was using a USC-1 or USC-2 card you should have in mind some changes:

The USC-3 card can only be powered via the 37 pin connector and not via USB.

The USC-3 card needs a SD card with a specific image to be operated. Usually, there is no need to touch the SD card and change the image. Only in some cases a new image could be necessary for firmware updates. To perform this procedure a SD card reader is required.

The boot process of the USC-3 can take longer than the boot process of the USC-1 or of the USC-2.

No USB 1.1 compatibility.
