The POSTNET (Postal Numeric Encoding Technique) barcode is a numeric barcode system developed by the United States Postal Service (USPS) for mail sorting and delivery optimization.

It encodes ZIP Codes, ZIP+4 Codes, and Delivery Point Codes to automate mail routing and improve efficiency and accuracy in postal operations.

 

There are different barcode modes implemented corresponding to the PostNet barcode:

•PostNet-A

•PostNet-C

•PostNet-Cp
