Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page

Note: The Code 49 barcode is a stacked 1D barcode designed for compact encoding of large amounts of data while remaining readable by standard linear barcode scanners. It was developed by Intermec in the 1980s to bridge the gap between traditional 1D barcodes and modern 2D codes. Uses multiple Code 128 symbols to encode data across multiple rows, much like Codablock-F, but with smaller data capacity.

Possible Characters: Upper case letters (A-Z), lower case letters (a-z), numbers (0-9), and all common special character. Full and Extended ASCII Set (0-255).

Number of Characters: Up to 43.

Error Correction: Reed-Solomon error detection and correction.

Settings: See extended settings dialog.
