The 2 of 5 barcode is a numeric barcode that encodes only digits (0-9). The name comes from the fact that each character consists of 5 bars, of which exactly 2 are wide and 3 are narrow.
It is mainly used in industry, logistics and warehouse management. Due to its simple structure and the possibility of printing it on large areas, it is particularly suitable for applications where space is not a major factor. Mainly used in industry, warehousing and logistics. It is also known as Code25.
There are different barcode modes implemented corresponding to the type 2 of 5:
