Information on the rechargeable battery:
The battery will not be fully charged at delivery due to safety reasons. We recommend charging it for about 48 hours (by supplying the USC-card with 5V externally via the EXT_VCC pin on the 37-pin connector), then the charge will last approximately 97 days.
The battery will supply the clock module to keep the time when the USC-card is not powered externally.
If there are any issues with keeping the correct time, we also recommend to charge the battery for an extended period of time.
